What We Do & Why It Matters

E-commerce is not a shopping cart. It is a system that has to move atoms, handle money, survive traffic spikes, stay PCI-compliant, integrate with warehouses and shipping carriers, keep catalog data clean across channels, and still load in under two seconds on a mid-range phone over a cellular connection. We've been building online stores for DTC brands, multi-category retailers, B2B distributors, and subscription companies for several years, and we know where the real leverage is.

Our default starting point for most consumer brands is Shopify or Shopify Plus. Shopify has won the DTC category for a reason: the hosted infrastructure is reliable, the checkout is legitimately best-in-class, Shop Pay gives you one of the highest-converting wallet experiences on the internet, the app ecosystem is deep, and Shopify Functions, Hydrogen, and the new Storefront API have closed most of the customization gap that used to push brands toward headless. We build on Shopify through custom themes, Shopify Functions for checkout and pricing logic, Hydrogen storefronts when a brand needs full design control, and Shopify Apps for internal tooling.

When the business model outgrows a monolithic commerce platform, we build headless. Typical triggers are complex B2B pricing and approvals, deep ERP integration, multi-region with region-specific catalogs and tax, subscription logic that fights the platform, or a content-first brand experience that needs a CMS-driven storefront. In those cases we pair a commerce backend, Shopify, Commerce Layer, Medusa, Saleor, BigCommerce, or Stripe for pure subscription businesses, with a Next.js 15 storefront using the App Router, React Server Components, and edge caching for sub-second page loads everywhere in the world.

The checkout is where money actually happens, and we treat it accordingly. On Shopify we use Checkout Extensibility, Shopify Functions, and post-purchase upsells to customize without breaking the native flow. On custom builds we implement Stripe Checkout, Stripe Payment Element, or Stripe Terminal with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Klarna, Afterpay, and Shop Pay pre-wired. Every checkout ships with proper address autocomplete, real-time shipping rates, tax calculation through Avalara or TaxJar, and fraud prevention through Stripe Radar or Signifyd.

Speed is conversion. A 100 millisecond improvement in mobile load time typically translates to a 1 to 2 percent lift in conversion, and on a store doing $10M a year that is $100k to $200k. We set performance budgets at the start of every project: LCP under 2.0 seconds on the 75th percentile mobile connection, CLS under 0.05, INP under 200 milliseconds, and a TTFB under 400ms from our global edge locations. We enforce the budgets in CI and ship real Core Web Vitals monitoring in production.

Operations usually decide whether an e-commerce business is profitable. We integrate your store with the tools that actually run the business: inventory sync to ShipStation, ShipBob, or your 3PL of choice, ERP connections to NetSuite, Brightpearl, or Cin7, accounting through QuickBooks or Xero, email and SMS lifecycle through Klaviyo, Postscript, or Attentive, customer service through Gorgias or Zendesk, and product data management through Akeneo or a headless CMS when the catalog is complex enough to need it.

We build for repeat purchase, not just first-time conversion. The highest-return work on most stores is post-purchase: branded order tracking, subscribe-and-save through Recharge or Stay AI, winback email flows, browse and cart abandonment, replenishment reminders, review collection through Judge.me or Okendo, and loyalty programs through Smile.io or Yotpo. We set up the full lifecycle and instrument it so you can see which channels are actually making money on contribution margin, not just last-click revenue.

Real Results

How We've Helped Businesses Like Yours

1

A DTC apparel brand on WooCommerce was losing conversions to slow mobile performance and a brittle checkout. We migrated them to Shopify Plus, built a custom Hydrogen storefront, rebuilt the checkout with Shopify Functions, and took their mobile LCP from 4.7 seconds to 1.3 seconds. Mobile conversion rate went from 1.4 percent to 1.9 percent on the first full quarter post-launch.

2

A B2B industrial distributor needed a custom ordering portal for their 2,400 wholesale accounts with tiered pricing, net-30 terms, purchase order workflows, and real-time inventory from their NetSuite ERP. We built a headless commerce platform on Medusa with a Next.js storefront, customer-specific price lists, and automated order-to-ERP sync, cutting order-processing labor by 60 percent.

3

A subscription box company was losing 35 percent of new subscribers in the first month, driven by a clunky cancel flow and lack of flexibility. We redesigned their subscription portal on Recharge, added skip, pause, and swap functionality, and built a cancel flow with a pause offer, a discount offer, and a free gift offer, reducing first-month churn by 28 percent.

4

A beauty brand wanted to move from Shopify to a fully content-first headless setup so their editorial team could build rich storytelling pages alongside their products. We kept Shopify as the commerce backend and built a Next.js storefront with Sanity for content, product pages that pulled live Shopify data, and a preview mode for the editorial team, lifting session duration by 40 percent.

5

A multi-category home goods retailer needed a new site that worked across 6 international markets with different currencies, languages, tax regimes, and shipping partners. We built a Shopify Markets Pro setup with localized pricing, geographic IP-based routing, and per-market fulfillment logic, expanding their addressable market without multiplying their tech stack.

6

A DTC supplement brand was pushing 40,000 orders per month through a monolithic custom cart that had become a maintenance nightmare. We replatformed to Shopify Plus with Recharge for subscriptions, migrated 380,000 customer records and 1.2M historical orders, and executed a zero-downtime cutover over a planned 4-hour window.

7

A footwear brand needed post-purchase upsells in their Shopify checkout, one-click add-ons, and bundle builders on product pages. We built a combination of Shopify Functions, checkout UI extensions, and a custom bundle app, lifting average order value by 19 percent.

8

A jewelry brand wanted a white-glove custom order flow for engraving and bespoke pieces that fell outside the standard Shopify model. We built a Shopify app that handled custom quote generation, approval workflows, and artisan assignment, integrated with their production system.

9

A multi-brand retailer was selling across Shopify, Amazon, Walmart, and eBay with no central inventory system and frequent overselling. We built a custom inventory hub that pulled real-time data from all channels, reserved stock, and pushed updates within 60 seconds of any change, eliminating overselling as a weekly incident.

10

A wellness brand with 4,000 SKUs needed a PIM to manage product data across Shopify, Amazon, and 14 retail partners. We implemented Akeneo, migrated their catalog, set up syndication flows, and trained their team on data governance, cutting their time-to-list for a new SKU from 2 weeks to 2 days.

11

A niche electronics brand wanted a subscription service for consumables alongside their one-time purchase catalog. We implemented Stay AI on Shopify Plus, built a custom subscription portal with swap-anytime flexibility, and integrated it with their Klaviyo lifecycle, growing recurring revenue from 0 to 18 percent of total revenue in six months.

12

A B2B SaaS-adjacent company was selling hardware alongside software subscriptions and needed a single checkout that handled both. We built a custom Stripe-based storefront with mixed cart support, quote flows for enterprise hardware orders, and integration with their existing HubSpot CRM and NetSuite finance.
